Wow! It's been awhile since I've updated! The year was busy with teaching, grad school, my kids' athletics and arts activities, and just being mom! I've continued to keep busy crocheting - mostly blankets and a few hats and scarves. I'm looking forward to much more yarn time this summer! Here's a look at a few of the things I've been working on this year. If you don't already, be sure to follow me on my Facebook page, as I keep that updated much more regularly. https://www.facebook.com/KBeanCreations/ I'm still taking orders for late summer, be sure to contact me if you are interested in something unique for your special someone!

Baby Goodies
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. This summer kept me insanely busy...between ball fields, family time, and many, many blankets being made, I haven’t updated in awhile. Then came the start of the school year and the craziness has really kicked into gear! I’m still enjoying yarn time though! Most of my most recent crochet projects have been custom blanket orders. I’ve made over 40 blankets this summer, with several more orders on the list! I’ve also started making some smaller loveys as well. A matching blanket and lovey make a great baby gift! LOVE making these - so much variety!

A little something new...
I have been wanting to make myself a set of coasters for quite some time. I have 2 on my desk at school that I LOVE because they keep my sweating mugs from making a wet mess of my always messy desk! Finally sat down to make a few sets. Love this pattern!

Fleece Blankets
I have been wanting to try this project for a long time. This spring I finally treated myself to a new toy that would make trying this project possible and now I am addicted to these blankets! They are so much fun to make. The possibilities with all of the cute fleece designs our there are endless! And I love experimenting with new edges. I can't wait to play with more!!
Dust Mop Covers
One of our big projects this winter was replacing the carpet in our dining room with wood flooring. I am in love with the new look. With the new floors, came a new cleaning routine. I hated wasting money on the disposable dust mop covers and thought there had to be a better way. While the disposable covers still have their use, I crocheted a washable cover that works great for a quick clean. It even works great to do a quick wet mop.
Hello Again!
I took some time off from the site for awhile while I caught up on family and worked through a busy year of teaching and keeping up with my kids' many activities! It's been a fun year with lots happening. However, it doesn't mean I haven't been keeping busy with some yarn! (All those long road trips and time in between tournament games are the perfect opportunity for some yarn therapy!) With the school year having come to a close, I have some time to catch up and share some of what I have been busy creating.

Easter Greetings
I was asked to make this sweet little bunny for an incredibly special little girl. And of course, what girl doesn't love to play dress-up - so I just had to make a 2nd dress for this little Easter friend.
Catching Up!
Wow! It's been awhile since I've updated. Life has been crazy. I've spent a lot of time cheering on my favorite basketball player this winter and my favorite JO volleyball player this spring (and sometimes both on the same weekend!) Family, sports, and the teaching life have kept me busy - but I have been loving every minute of it. I've enjoyed the road trips and watching my (not-so-little) kiddos play the games they love. But of course, with every road trip, my bag of yarn follows. I have been busy with projects as well, some of them new and a little out of my comfort zone - but all of them fun! Here is a glimpse of just some of the projects I worked on this winter.

A Busy Fall
I've been away from my yarn for a bit as the school year has started up and I have returned to my main job of teacher. The busy schedule of setting up, welcoming, and getting to know my new 2nd graders didn't leave time for much else. Then throw in a busy football and volleyball schedule for my 2 oldest and I have found myself tied to my classroom, car, gym, or football field. I am trying to get back to my yarn though as I am preparing for a craft fair in November. Here are a few new creations I tried out just for the vendor fair. Check them out! I am loving getting back to my yarn!

Making Something Old New Again
Almost 14 years ago I made my first baby blanket when I was expecting my oldest daughter. I used the same pattern to make similar blankets for my two boys. This summer I revisited the favorite blanket pattern, but added some of my own little tweaks to it.. I created a fun border and used one of my favorite new yarns to give it an extra soft and warm feel. I'm loving the way it turned out!
